Introduction
Australia has rallied in the line of leading wine countries. Exports of Australian wines in recent years have grown exponentially. Few other countries have such a dramatic expansion of their vineyards seen as Australia. Like almost everywhere in the New World that emergence is of a recent date. I have already expanded on this in my post Australia wine regions summary. Furthermore I have reviewed and rated Chardonnays from well known regions like Barossa Valley, Adelaide Hills, Margaret River and Hunter Valley. Down here you will find some other great Chardonnays fro this Country.
If you are interested in some of the wines below, just click the two banners below and go to white wine>chardonnay>wine regions>south east australia. For delivery by WineSale within Australia territory only.
All the wines have been rated and you can read here how this system works.
WineSale.com.au
The wine sale company, of which I am an affiliate and as such have been promoting their wines, has meanwhile discontinued this affiliate service. This is why I was forced to cancel the reviews of the wines offered through this site.
In order to resume my services to you, I am looking for other companies to promote their wines for the Australian market. However, at the moment none seem to be present. There was one such firm available, but it will not allow affiliates from outside Australia. I will keep looking for next opportunities which will allow me to review the excellent Australian Chardonnays again and offer you the best in the world.
What do the ratings mean?
Score | Explanation |
---|---|
95–100 | A classic great wine |
90–94 | An outstanding wine of superior character and style |
85–89 | A very good wine with special qualities |
80-84 | A good solid, well-made wine |
75–79 | A mediocre wine, drinkable but may have minor flaws |
50–74 | Not recommended |

Hi Jerry
You have done a great job with your site. Full of presentations and you certainly know what you are talking about. My partner is from Argentina and yes they will say their wines are the best which they are great but as an Aussie I know that Australian Wines both in the Hunter Valley in NSW, Barossa Wineries in South Australia and also Margaret Wineries in Western Australia.
They have some many individual wineries you just drive down the road and go in and out of each drive way for your wine tasting.
So much fun better if you have a designated driver that doesn’t drink even better.regions are really the best and possible some of the best in the World.
Thank you for your review brought some great memories as well.
Take care and keep go forward as you are.
Andre
Thanks Andre, I will visit Australia wineries and/or vineyards some time in the future. I have friends in Adelaide and then I will certainly visit Adelaide Hills. Argentina wines are on my to do list and if they happen to have Chardonnays as well you will shortly see it. Cheers, Jerry
Hi Jerry,
Good info in your Australia wine reviews. I don’t think I’ve tried any of the Australian wine before . It sounds very tasty. Looks like something I might have to try. Thanks.
Thanks Ed, Yes Some of the Australian wines are of very good quality. The Barossa Shiraz’s are a fine example.I have tasted various Chardonnays from Australia and without exception they are of high quality. See reviews here. Can you tell me which wines you like in particular? Cheers, Jerry.
Though I am not a big wine drinker, I would really like learn wine tasting. Chardonnay is also the only wine I drink especially during the evening.
Thank you for your comment Viljoen. In your case this website might be of help then. Did you happen to see the blog about wine tasting? Also I try helping people to classify the wine they are drinking by a simple yet universal 4 point score card. Let me know if I can be of further help. Which Chardonnays are your favourites? Cheers, Jerry.
